Confessions of a Liberal Queer Neurodivergent Minister

Unapologetically all of the above, with sprinklings of various forms of nerdiness

A Bit Of Whimsy…

This is the personal page of the Rev. Johnnie Bloom-Ramirez, a liberal, Queer, neurodivergent human, who serves as both a full-time minister and part-time chaplain, sometimes is a king (or Queen) and is always a father and husband.

CONSUMPTION WARNING:

may cause thoughts of empathy, compassion, silliness, whimsy, and might even draw a tear or two…

I am a Liberal, Queer, Neurodivergent, Disney-loving, Reenactment, art, and theology nerd. I am also a minister and chaplain. I live in the Silicon Valley with my amazing Veteran husband, and my adult culinary-afficianado son.

This is a glimpse into my life, and the things I find compeling, important, and necessary. In these pages I hope that you will discover questions that stretch you, thoughts to provoke you, things to make you feel joy and things that make you angry. My deepest hope is that you will walk away from these pages inspired and maybe I will have succeeded in my goals.

If liberal religion, values and ethics are not your thing, you don’t like to think too hard, you have no empathy or sympathy for your fellow humans, you don’t enjoy drag as art, you don’t enjoy Disney as escapism, you hate LGBTQIA+ people, dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, otters, giraffes, or any other animals on this earth, and you dislike cheese, then please, find yourself a place that suits you better!
